Planes, Trains, and Cruise Ships!

How will you explore the Last Frontier? There are 586,000 square miles of land filled with nearly limitless things to see and do:  adventure travel, wildlife viewing, culture & history, 15 national parks, and unique experiences like viewing the Aurora Borealis. Alaska is also one of America’s most popular cruise destinations. I am an Alaska Certified Expert and CLIA Master Cruise Counselor which enables me to help personalize your visit to the Great Land with a custom itinerary just for you.

WHEN SHOULD I GO TO ALASKA?

Peak Season:  June through August have longer days and warmer weather; this is prime time for whale watching and peak cruise season. Shoulder Season:  May and September have fewer visitors, cooler weather, and lower prices; however, not all activities or accommodations are available. Winter Season:  November through April is perfect for travelers seeking snow and iconic winter experiences like dog sled racing and viewing the Northern Lights.

ADVENTURE TRAVEL

Active travelers have a wealth of opportunities for adventure! Water sports include kayaking, canoeing, river rafting, and whitewater adventures. Outdoor activities include hiking, biking, ice climbing, and guided glacier hikes. And there’s always the iconic winter experiences, such as dog sledding, snowboarding, Alpine & Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, and viewing the Aurora Borealis.

A WILDLIFE ENTHUSIAST’S DREAM

Alaska has 15 national parks! The two most recognized are the Denali National Park & Preserve and the Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve. Bring your binoculars for some of the best wildlife viewing, such as bear, moose, caribou, mountain goat, Dall sheep, whales, sea otters, sea lions, seals, and bald eagles.

CULTURAL TRAVEL

The indigenous people of Alaska are comprised of 11 distinct cultures, speaking 22 different dialects. Alaska is rich with native, Russian, and American history. Immerse yourself by experiencing the festivals, performing arts, cuisine, museums, and local art. Be sure to look for the Silver Hand logo to support Alaskan native artists.

EXOTIC DESTINATION RIGHT AT HOME

Alaska is the Last Frontier. It holds all the excitement of an exotic destination with a foreign flare; but, for American travelers, it’s a domestic destination! Alaska is the U.S.’s 49th state which means that U.S. citizens can enjoy daily flight service from many U.S. airports, U.S. currency, no passport requirements, and English as the local language.

Alaska has everything…from the largest national park, longest coastline, biggest state, and the longest day. The 49th state offers so much to see and do, you could vacation here for the rest of your life and still never have the same experience twice. The diverse history, culture, wildlife, and scenery just might be the best in North America. Let me help you put together the perfect vacation package to experience Alaska in all its wonder.
